- Installation Procedure:
- -----------------------

- Before you begin, OS/2 must already be installed on your Hard Disk Drive.

- 1. Reboot your system from a copy of your OS/2 Installation Diskette.
- 2. From the IBM introduction screen, hit <ESC> to get to a DOS prompt.
- 3. Insert the Orchid OS/2 Driver diskette into the drive.
- 4. At the DOS prompt, go to the subdirectory pointed to by the LIBPATH in the
- environment variable. In most cases, this will be "C:\OS2\DLL". Unzip
- the ORCHID OS/2 display driver files.
- For example,

- cd \OS2\DLL (Hit Enter)
- a:pkunzip orchid37 disp3745.dll (Hit Enter)

- 5. Decide on the display driver that you wish to use.
- 6. Copy the original display driver into DISPLAY.ORI

- Copy display.dll display.ori (Hit Enter)

- Rename the Orchid OS/2 display driver into DISPLAY.DLL
- For example,

- Copy disp3745.dll display.dll (Hit Enter)

- 8. Remove the the Orchid OS/2 Diskette from your floppy drive.
- 9. Reboot the machine.
